The sequel to the 2021 blockbuster Pushpa: The Rise has earned a staggering Rs 172.1 crore net across all languages in India, making it the biggest opening ever for an Indian film.
Not only did Pushpa 2 eclipse SS Rajamouli’s RRR (which grossed Rs 156 crore on Day 1), but it also became the first Indian film to collect over Rs 50 crore net in two languages (Telugu and Hindi) in a single day. The film saw a massive 80.14 percent Telugu occupancy and 51.53 percent Hindi occupancy on its release day, December 5, 2024.
